Two machines were setup with Microsoft Windows Sever 2003 in them. Both Machines were wired to the internet directly (via UH's network) with their individual public IPs (129.7.44.90 and 129.7.44.99). Remote Desktops were enabled allowing access from outside of the lab. The user names and the passwords were the same for all system as Administrator and tech@uh#44211. Machine with the IP of 129.7.44.90 was setup for web sever which installed with Microsoft Visual Basic.Net and had Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and ASP.Net enabled Figure 2.a. While Microsoft SQL Sever was installed on 129.7.44.99 to serve as a data server. The SQL server had its user ID/password as sa/sa for easy access. It can be further configured for better security. Firewalls in all systems were enabled and configured to grant access to certain applications and ports (port 1433 in this case) to ensure the security. NOTE: SQL Sever was later being installed on the web sever, 129.7.44.90, for the purpose of testing and troubleshooting.
